The year was 2010. 12 people from Spain, France, Estonia and Finland gathered to a youth centre in Finland. Yea we knew who would be there but one thing we didn't know, was how much will this short week change us. The theme was "Intercultural Learning, Youth Participation and Youth Access to Social Rights". The first few days we mainly hanged out by ourselves and keeping an eye on everybody else. Most of the time we would play different games or sit in a big circle (cause everybody loves the circle!)talking about youth participation and our rights. So by the end of the week we were inseparable. We went on small trips and had lots of fun. When it was time to leave, we didn't have a clue of what would happen next year..
And there we are. Smiling faces under the hot Spanish sun. The time when you cry when arriving, cry when being there(from happiness ofc!) and cry when having to leave again. This years theme was "Identity" and for that, each group made a short film in that week. We went swimming a lot, played games, went sightseeing and even sneaked out of our rooms just to talk. At the end of this week we knew that this would not be the last time. So..
Bonjour France! A place where you can see planes flying over your head every minute(!), where the people are so delightful and wherever you go, you can buy everything made of lavender. This year the theme was "Sports and Citizenship". This time we had lots of free time just to do what we like to do best - hang with each other, play different games, talk to everybody and learn our languages. This time it was even more special than the other two, cause we already knew each other but at the same time, there was so many things to ask and discuss! The communication was free and light, it was all so natural like.. we were never separated plus, we got to ride with this really awesome and retro buss!
